Most people think a dog can protect them by barking and biting any intruders that may enter a home. While cats may not bite or physically attack intruders like a dog might do, a cat can still be useful in preventing crime.
One cat owner wake up at 1:00 am after noticing his cat was acting strangely. That’s when he spotted a burglar inside his car, stealing items from inside. The potential victim called police who caught the suspect and charged him with four counts each of theft and tampering with a motor vehicle.
If it wasn’t for a cat, that burglar might have gotten away, but because of the alertness of a cat, crime in at least that neighborhood has gone down a bit.
