Sam Tochtrop said, “So I’ve never been a cat person. I’ve always hated cats. But I like Scooter a lot.” Scooter is his cat that Sam adopted. Even more curious is that Scooter is paralyzed so he cannot move her two hind legs.
Taking care of Scooter has changed Sam’s opinion of cats. “I do feel there is a small amount of compassion that is required to look at a creature — a person or an animal — and say that it’s deserving of a quality of life,” he says.
After posting pictures of himself and Scooter, Sam has helped turn Scooter into an instagram celebrity. You can even watch a video showing how Sam helps Scooter go to the bathroom.
