The Troy police department said if they hit 10,000 Twitter followers, they would adopt an official cat mascot. Not surprisingly, they hit that goal easily. Unfortunately, the kitten selected to be the Troy police department mascot was found to have feline leukemia.

Now the Troy police department will need to find a good home for this cat and select another cat to become their mascot. Hopefully the original Pawfficer Badges will live a long and healthy life while the new cat will fulfill his or her duties as a police cat as well.
