If you’re disillusioned by politics and feel that anyone can get elected, you may be right. In Bend, Oregon, many people are vying for the position as mayor and one of those candidates is a cat named Leonardo F. Bend.
Leonard has been employed full-time as the greeter at Bright Place Gallery, where customers regularly stop to pet him, since it opened in March of 2017. Before then, he was a mouser at the Workhouse on Scott Street and a greeter at the Old Ironworks Arts District so he has plenty of business experience. Best of all, Leonard is cute and cuddly, and how many politicians can make that claim?
