While the cat cafe trend started in Asia, it’s rapidly spreading across Europe and North America. That’s because people all over the world love cats and enjoy spending time with them.
In Asia, cat cafes exist because many people can’t afford to have a cat of their own. In other parts of the world, cat cafes exist for partly the same reason, but also to encourage visitors to adopt a cat. Rather than keep a cat trapped in a shelter, cat cafes give cats freedom to mingle and socialize with humans. This increases their chances of getting adopted.
