Both cats and humans have teeth. While humans typically truths their teeth to keep them clean, cats do not regularly brush their teeth. That means bacteria can collect on their teeth and create problems in the future.

The solution is to brush a cat’s teeth. If that sounds dangerous, it is, but it does depend on the cat. Not all cats like getting their teeth brushed but they can be trained (like kids) that brushing is a way to keep their teeth healthy for the future.

If your idea of getting close to your cat involves brushing its teeth and you don’t mind the challenge, consider giving it a try. You and your cat may surprise you for better or worse.
