Many people visit Hawaii to enjoy the sun, sand, and water. However there’s a new reason to visit Hawaii. If you visit the island of Lanai, you can visit the Lanai Cat Sanctuary, started in 2001 by Kathy ‘Kat’ Carroll after she was shocked to find hundreds of homeless and starving cats roaming the island.
Now the cats are safe in a sanctuary where they can enjoy regular meals, massages and attention from the many tourists now starting to visit the Lanai Cat Sanctuary. If you visit the sanctuary, you can view over 600 cats and even adopt one if you like.
