Many people don’t like taking responsibility, which is why children often blame the dog by telling their teacher that the dog ate their homework rather than admit that they never did it in the first place.
Now a family in Russia has taken this excuse to a whole new level by blaming the lack of payment of their electricity bill on their cat. The family claimed they didn’t use any electricity at all but their electric meter registered this because it had been tampered with by their cat. The electricity company’s lawyers proved the cat was innocent so now the family is on the hook for paying their bill.
