Every year, Iceland builds an entire hotel out of ice that anyone can stay at. Since Iceland is strict with its laws, they require all hotel employees to have an ID. That meant that Pál Dánielsdóttír, a cat that showed up to hang around the ice hotel, had to obey the law. Now Dánielsdóttír has her very own ID card to abide by union labor regulations.

Now if you visit Iceland’s ice hotel, you can see the hotel’s official mouser, although how any mice might be running around in the cold could be another question altogether. If you don’t see mice running around the ice hotel, that could mean the cat is doing her job.
