Cats often get curious and climb a tree, but just because they know how to climb up doesn’t always mean they know how to climb back down. Since cats will continue getting stuck in trees and telephone poles, humans need to know how they can help rescue a cat from high places.
If you plan to climb trees to rescue cats, make sure you have the proper equipment including ropes, boots, and hard hats. Then give the cat 24 hours to come down on its own before you venture up to get it. Move quietly and toss the cat in a bag that you can carry down to keep the cat safe and secure.
Saving a cat from a high place isn’t easy but with the proper preparation, you can rescue almost any cat stuck in a tree or other high place.
