In 2015, Bendor Grosvenor, an art expert, bought a rare painting for $6,714. The painting was a 17th-century portrait from artist John Michael Wright. While repairing the painting, Bendor stepped back and that’s when disaster struck.

His cat, Padme, jumped up on the center of the painting and damaged the canvas. Now Bendor will need to repair the damage created by his cat. You can be sure next time he’ll keep his cat far away from any rare paintings, but you can be equally sure his cat will find a way to wreck something in the house anyway because that’s what cats do best.
