Some cats like watching laser pointers dancing across the walls and floors, but a cat in Japan prefers getting stimulation by pretending to play Nintendo’s Smash Brothers video game.

The cat’s owner plays a Piranha Plant that tosses out a steady string of spiked balls. None of them are coming anywhere close to hitting her computer-controlled opponent, but that’s because the balls are actually for her pet kitty, who’s skillfully “catching” each one up clamping its paws over the screen as the projectiles fly forth.

The next time you need a way to keep your cat amused, try letting it watch you play a video game. Perhaps you cat might even find a way to help you win as well.
