Four years ago, Edna wandered into San Francisco Fire Station 49 and has made the station her home. Now, firefighters are reportedly being told to get rid of her.

After an anonymous caller alerted the Fire Department about the cat being around firefighting equipment, the Fire Department told the station to get rid of the cat. Now firefighters are torn between letting the cat go or finding it a new home.

Hopefully Edna will be able to stay and remain the fire station’s unofficial mascot. After all, it’s unlikely the cat will hurt any fire fighting equipment so if you live in San Francisco, petition the Fire Department to keep Edna around anyway.
