In case you need to fly somewhere with a cat, plan ahead now. Get a recent health certificate for your cat and make sure your cat has a collar, a leash and an ID tag.

Next, ask your airline about the size of cat carriers that can fit under a seat. That way you can take your cat with you in the cabin and not check it into luggage where it might be frightened being separated from you.
