If you’d rather spend time with your cat than with strangers, you may not be alone. Pet-sitting and dog-walking website Rover.com recently polled more than 1,200 pet owners across the U.S. and found that 52 percent of cat owners prefer the company of their cats to that of other humans.

It’s easy to see why. Unlike humans, cats keep themselves clean. Plus cats are so adorable that when they do something to make your life miserable, you can’t help but smile and laugh, which is hard to do with people.

Pets bring out the best in people so it’s only natural that cat owners would find cats better than people. Now we just need a survey to figure out what cats think of us.
