When the Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia posted a call for potential adoptees for Mr. B, a 26-pound shelter cat, over 3,000 people offered to adopt the chunky cat.

Mr. B’s new family will work with shelter officials to monitor his diet and health to bring him to a more reasonable weight. Through Mr. B’s popularity, the shelter managed to bring in over $1,800 in donations and sell more than 400 Mr. B CHONK shirts.

Just remember that Mr. B isn’t the only cat that needs a good home. If you can’t adopt Mr. B, feel free to adopt any other cat that needs a home. You and the cat will have a lifetime to enjoy each other’s company.
