If you have a female cat that goes outside and she’s not fixed, then you’ll eventually wind up with a pregnant cat. While you want to find good homes for your kittens if you can’t keep them all yourself, you also need to care for the mother cat while she’s pregnant and cares for her kittens.

Surprisingly, some cats may not care for their kittens right away. Some female cats (just like humans) may not even care about their offspring, or may just feel overwhelmed at the moment so they don’t know what to do. In that case, you may need to help out by filling an eyedropper with milk.

Pregnant cats need extra attention so be sure to care for your mother cat so she can keep her kittens happy and healthy wherever they may wind up.
