A large number of Americans don’t have health insurance, which means a medical problem could wipe them out financially. Of course if humans lack health insurance, that means their cats will likely lack health insurance as well.

Not surprisingly, 13% of cat owners owe more than $2,000 to the veterinarian for their pet while only 9% of dog owners owe that much. So that either tells you that cat owners love their pets more than dog owners or that dog owners have more money than cat owners, likely because they aren’t spending all their money on their cat.
