Some cats like to jump everywhere just to explore, and one area where cats often like to explore is on the kitchen counter. In case you don’t want a cat walking across the surface where you prepare food, you might try different techniques to keep the cat off the counter.
First, offer alternative spots for your cat to jump and climb such as a cat tree. Also remove any temptations not he counter such as a jar of treats or food. Then again, you cat will pretty much do what it wants regardless of your wishes so you might just have to get used to having a cat walking across your foot anyway.
