Palmerston is the official mouser in England’s Foreign Office. Yet for the past six months, Palmerston has been absent due to overfeeding and stress where he groomed all the hair off his front legs.
To help Palmerston recover, Sir Simon McDonald’s Private Secretary took Palmerston home. Now that Palmerston is back at work, there are strict rules for everyone.
First, people have to stop feeding Palmerston. Second, they aren’t allowed to touch him unless he wants to be touched. Third, they have to respect his space and keep him confined in certain areas. By imposing these rules, the Foreign Office hopes to insure that Palmerston remains calm and happy once more.
