Cats and Christmas trees often don’t go together because the cats knock off ornaments or even tip over the Christmas tree. However, one cat owner found an ingenious solution to protecting her Christmas tree by using tangerines.
For some odd reasons, her cat is afraid of tangerines, so by putting them around the tree, she can keep her cat from getting too close to the Christmas tree and knocking things over. Of course this method might not work with your cat, but many cats dislike citrus smells so if tangerines don’t work, try oranges or lemons. If you want to protect your Christmas tree, anything is worth trying at least once.
