Artificial intelligence is all around us from guessing our book and movie preferences on Amazon and Netflix to checking for credit card misuse through anomalies in our credit card patterns. Strangely, a Chinese company has decided to create an artificial intelligent assistant that resembles a cat.
Nomi looks like a sphere on your car’s dashboard that even sports small cat ears. Nomi listens and adapts to your habits, supposedly making your life more convenient. Then again if Nomi behaved like a real cat, it would simply ignore your commands and get in your way while you were driving, likely causing an accident in the process.
Because that’s what a real cat would likely do if you drove around with it all day long.
