“Captain Marvel” proved to be a box office success, but part of that success stemmed from the fact that Captain Marvel owned a cat named Goose. Cat lovers enjoyed seeing both Captain Marvel and Goose, although many people believe Goose really stole the show.
However, filming “Captain Marvel” wasn’t easy because Brie Larson, the actress who played Captain Marvel, is actually allergic to cats. Even worse, many of the scenes using the cat initially appeared too difficult to the point where the film makers thought they would have to use a computer-generated cat for the entire film.
Fortunately they were able to use real cats for many scenes and put Goose the cat in as many scenes as possible without triggering Brie Larson’s allergies. The next time you watch “Captain Marvel”, marvel at the fact that the cat performed in so many scenes without special effects.
