In England, there’s a cat named Ozzy who would wander between neighbors to get something to eat. Six years and £24,000 later, the courts have decided that Ozzy’s owners have the right to choose who feeds their cat.

Apparently Nicola Lesbirel, a top landscape gardener, had been accused of feeding Ozzy with the goal of luring Ozzy away. Nicola allegedly removed Ozzy’s collar nine times and replaced it with one displaying her own phone number.

Fortunately Ozzy has loving owners who can now legally care for their cat without the interference of others. If Nicola really likes a cat, she should simply adopt one of her own.
