Mountain lions are solitary creatures that are rarely spotted in groups. Yet a home surveillance camera recently captured five mountain lions hanging around together as if they’re just a group of friends meeting for the night.

Why these five mountain lions tolerated each other without fighting is a mystery, but one theory believes that one mountain lion is the mother and the others are the older cubs. Yet mother mountain lions often kick cubs out when they get bigger, so perhaps all these mountain lions are just getting together to mess with the minds of their human neighbors.
