If you happen to see a cat outside, be careful. It may be a friendly stray or it might be a feral cat that likely won’t appreciate you getting too close to it or trying to help it in any way.

Domesticated cats that are strays will likely rub up against your leg and allow you to pet them. Feral cats, on the other hand, may bite or claw so be wary even if they look friendly. You can love a feral cat, but do so at a distance.
