It never fails. Just as when you’re ready to go to sleep, your cat suddenly wakes up and runs around the house, making noise, and climbing all over you. If this sounds familiar, you may wander why its suddenly perk up at night when you’re ready to go to bed.
The main reason is that cats are crepuscular, which means their waking hours are at both sunrise and sunset. Dawn and dusk are the hours when cats typically hunt prey.
Changing your clocks for daylight savings time won’t change your cat’s behavior so your best bet is to simply bury yourself under your blankets and hope your cat will leave you alone. Failing that, you could always get plenty of quiet toys for your cat to stalk at night while you’re trying to sleep.
