As more people are isolated at home, pet adoptions have skyrocketed as people want a furry companion to keep them company. Hopefully this won’t be a temporary state but a permanent one once people realize the joy they can get from owning a pet.

So if you’re bringing a cat home for the first time, make sure you prepare your home for a cat. That means creating a safe place for your cat to sleep, a litter box for your cat to use, and even putty to keep your precious vases in place in case the cat jumps up and knocks things off a shelf.

Enjoy your new pet, but remember a pet is a lifelong companion so don’t forget your pet when you’ll be able to go back to work and life returns to normal.
