Cats can be curious, which means they can get into trouble, especially if you leave them unsupervised in your house for long periods of time. First, make sure your house doesn’t contain plants that could be poisonous to your cat if it should eat the leaves.
Second, keep certain foods and items locked safely away from the cat such as medicine. Third, lock up items that could poison your cat such as pesticides or even toilet bowl cakes that disinfect the toilet water but could prove fatal to a cat drinking out of the toilet.
Your house should be a safe place for you and your cat, so make the effort now to make sure your cat can’t hurt itself by accident. Your cat will thank you for your effort.
