The New York subways are famous for being filthy and a place where both rich and poor congregate because it’s the only way to get around easily. When workers spotted a cat roaming near the subway tracks, they set out traps to capture it.
The rescuers trapped the wandering feline and discovered that it’s missing an eye, but appears able to see out of the other eye. Now with proper medical care, rescuers hope to find the cat a home so it won’t be left on its own in the subway tunnels where it could get hurt.
\Saving a cat just shows that people can team up to help make the lives of animals better. If you can, adopt a cat or volunteer to help save cats. You’ll be rewarded with feeling good about yourself and helping those less fortunate around you.
