Hawaii is a great place to live or visit, which is why so many cats seem to live in Hawaii as well. Unfortunately, the Maui Humane Society is currently overwhelmed with cats who need a good home.

The current cat population is at a critically high level beyond shelter capacity, with 87 waiting to be adopted and 155 more in foster care. If you live in Hawaii and have room, consider adopting a cat for your home and help clear out the animal shelters.
