If you need to travel long distances by car with your cat, be prepared. Start by getting your cat used to short trips and gradually expand their length until your cat feels comfortable in the car.
Be sure to bring plenty of food and litter boxes because your cat will need to go to the restroom during a long trip. Also invest in a good cat carrier to insure the cat doesn’t get loose during the trip. With a little patience, you can make a long car trip tolerable with a cat.
