It’s easy to bring one cat into a home because the cat will naturally take over every place and boss you around as it should as its rightful place as the household cat. However, the problem can arise when you bring a second cat into the home.

Ideally, you want to get both cats as young as possible to increase the chance they’ll get along. If you get cats at different ages together, expect up to two months for them to settle into a routine and get used to each other.

Just remember that humans often take time to get along too so don’t expect cats to magically cooperate any more than people do when forced to live together.
