Cats have a long history of helping the military. The most common use is to let cats patrol around food supplies to keep rodents away. However, many military personnel used cats for comfort as well.

When stationed in different places around the world, soldiers often had to adjust to lonely and harsh conditions. That’s when the presence of cats made life more enjoyable so soldiers could play with the cats or simply pet and hold them. Because cats can help raise morale, governments around the world should pay cats for their valuable service.
