Many people are shifting away from eating meat and eating more plant-based diets. That shift is now coming to pet food as Purina announced they’re testing dog and cat food made from insects and lava beans.
Although insects may seem disgusting, they’re actually a good source of protein that people all over the world have relied on for centuries. The big question is will your cat like insect-based cat food or will it rebel?
Given that cats are so picky about what they eat anyway, chances are good cats will demand filet mignon and lobster tail while you get stuck eating the insects and lava beans.
