For more than twenty years, the city of Brentwood, Tennessee has put a Cat in the Hat statue outside of the John P. Holt Brentwood Library. According to the city, the artwork was created by a local artist and is valued at $2,500.
Unfortunately a group of people stole this statue so now the city is asking for the public’s help in finding the Cat in the Hat statue so it can be returned. Whether the thief liked the Cat in the Hat or just cats in general, there are other ways to get what they want by either checking out a Cat in the Hat book from the library or adopting a real cat.
