For two days, a kitten was trapped 25 feet in a tree in London. When firefighters arrived, they placed a ladder against the tree, expecting to climb up and rescue the cat. Instead, the cat casually climbed down the ladder and ran off.
So if your cat ever gets stuck in a tree, consider just leaning a ladder against the tree to give the cat a way to climb down. If cats are smart enough to climb up a tree, they may be smart enough to climb down a ladder so that can spare you the trouble of climbing up the tree yourself.
