When people get a cat, they often think if a cat can be so much fun, then two cats should be twice the joy. Of course people often decide to get a kitten to bring home to meet their cat.
Just be careful. Your cat may not appreciate the existence of a rival to take away your affection. So if you insist on bringing a kitten to your home, take care to introduce that kitten to your cat carefully to prevent any fights or problems. The less trouble your cats will cause each other, the more trouble they can cause you.
