Computer scientists have created artificial intelligence (AI) programs that can learn from massive amounts of data fed to it. One of the first tasks given to AI is to identify items on the Internet. Not surprisingly, AI found the most popular content on the Internet and learned to identify cats.
Once AI learned what cats are and what they look like, computer scientists gave these AI programs the task of creating cat images. The initial images were blurry and warped, but as you can see in the above image, their later attempts are much more accurate.
So if you’re worried that AI might one day take over the world from the human race, relax. As long as we have cats to protect us, AI computers will likely become just as fascinated with cats as humans.
