It’s well known that music soothes human beings so it seems obvious that music can also soothe cats as well. Louisiana State University (LSU) conducted a study that played music for 20 minutes to cats going to a veterinarian clinic.

One type of music was Scooter Bere’s Aria by David Teie, which was special music designed specifically for cats. The other two choices were classical music or no music at all. Not surprisingly, the music designed for cats kept them calmer.

So if you need to calm a cat, consider playing it cat music. At the very least, listening to cat music might make you calmer too so you won’t even care if your cat is listening to the music or not.
