Many people like to bring flowers into the house to brighten up a room. However, be careful because some flowers can be poisonous to your cat. If your cat should ingest part of a dangerous flower, it could get sick.
You could examine all the safe flowers for your cat and only fill your home with those plants that include orchids and sunflowers, but a safer option is to keep all flowers from your cat just in case. Cats being curious creatures will likely chew on anything that looks interesting, and that could include a plant poisonous to felines.
So keep those flowers away from your cat. If anything, put those flowers far out of a cat’s reach or just use plastic flowers instead. It won’t be as nice but at least your cat will be safe.
