Cats are notorious for being independent so it’s important that you pay attention to what your cat does so you don’t miss important issues. For example, if a cat starts meowing for no apparent reason, it’s obviously trying to get your attention. If the cat’s eating habits change, the cat might be trying to tell you it’s hurt and needs help.
Another problem involves playing with your cat. Don’t use your hand as a toy because that trains the cat to think that all hands are toys for biting and scratching. Instead, using a separate item as a toy for your cat to bite and scratch so that way it won’t do that to your own flesh instead.
