Many people like the idea of making their own cat food. Not only can this be fun and interesting, but it can insure you know exactly what ingredients your cat is eating.

Unfortunately a UC Davis study found that many homemade cat food recipes are lacking in proper nutrients that your cat needs. Even worse, some homemade cat food recipes even included ingredients toxic to cats such as garlic and onions.

Be careful if you intend on making homemade cat food. Generally it’s better to buy your cat expensive food to eat like filet mignon, lobster, and caviar while you eat the cat food yourself.
