Salvatore Fazio, a man who lives part-time in Mastic Beach, arrived in Italy to find his cat, Ettore, had escaped its carrier and gotten loose on the tarmac of the JFK airport. Fortunately Fazio got permission from the Port Authority to set out a humane trap near the area where the cat was last seen.

The trap soon caught the cat and reunited Ettore with Fazio so the two of them could travel on their way to Italy. Hopefully Ettore won’t get loose again and just stay home where it’s safe.
