When the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando caught on fire, firefighters rushed to save as many dogs and cats as they could. Initially they feared up to ten cats may have perished but when the flames died down, they discovered that most of the cats had found hiding spots and survived.
Firefighter Brett Maneri was one of dozens of first responders to rush toward the burning building and rescued Mia, a brown and orange marbled tabby. That’s when Brett decided to adopt Mia. Hopefully more people will adopt cats as well without the trauma of a fire, but the more cats adopted, the happier everyone will be.
