If you happen to live in the Royal Oak area in Michigan, be on the lookout for an escaped African cat. The owner had four caracals, which are medium-sized cats native to Africa that weigh about 30-40 pounds. Unfortunately two of the caracals escaped although one was quickly found. However, the other caracal is still on the loose.
Despite being wild cats, caracals are passive and nocturnal so they don’t present a threat to anyone like a leopard or tiger might do. So if you spot a strange looking cat roaming around Royal Oak, Michigan, call the authorities so they an return the caracal to its owner.
