Many people think that dogs can do actual work like guarding a house while cats are generally useless creatures that do nothing but eat, sleep, and watch football in their underwear every Sunday afternoon. That’s not true, of course, but a recent fire in Syracuse, New York may show that cats can be just as useful as dogs.
A fire broke out in a Syracuse apartment and apartment dwellers said they were first alerted to the fire by a cat inside one of the apartments. Because the cat alerted people to the fire, they were able to evacuate in time. Since your cat may save your life one day, treat it well like the diva it already knows it is.
