When feeding his daughter and his cat, one man uses the same bowl. While that might sound disgusting, it’s not as if the daughter eats out of the bowl after the cat has finished. Instead, the two share the same bowl but they wash the bowl in between uses.
That means the daughter gets a clean bowl and the cat gets a clean bowl, just not at the same time. By washing the bowl, the daughter doesn’t get cat germs and the cat feels like a member of the family.
