Peter Cohen has 24 cats. For the past 30 years, Cohen—a home builder and founder of the nonprofit ZenbyCat—has spent a great deal of time and money turning his Santa Barbara, California home into a feline utopia where every room is designed to cater to his cats.
Cohen started with cat walks in one room and when he found that his cat enjoyed it, he kept building more. Although he designed his home for cats, Cohen says, “You should enjoy your house as much as your cats.” Then again, it really doesn’t matter what you think since if your cats are happy, you’ll be happy too no matter how much it may have cost you to get there.
