Some cats love tuna, but be careful. Feeding your cat tuna all the time may not be good for it. First of all, tuna is a larger fish and can store more mercury in its flesh, although the level of mercury in fish may not be the danger it once was.

More importantly, some cats can be allergic to tuna. Even if your cat isn’t allergic to tuna, use tuna sparingly since it’s not always the best balanced diet for your cat. Instead, use tuna as a treat or to flavor food. Then again, you have to wonder if tuna isn’t great for your cat, how good is it for you to eat as well?
